The Girl Who Chased the Moon is a good book, but sadly I cannot say it is better than that. This is one of those rare books that needs to be longer, not because it's so enthralling that I wanted more to read, but because the story felt rushed; the magical realism that seemed so promising in the summary was thrown on top of plotlines rather than integrated into the world. The Girl Who Chased the Moon was originally titled Festival of the Naked Lady. The title made sense when I first started writing the book but ended up having no correlation to the final draft. Both had hints of magic and the unexplained but this book was completely magical. The people, the town, everything. And in a good way. You see - I am not big on fantasy books or science fiction. As far as I go is the Twilight series. And I enjoyed it in movie form much more than reading.
